Second hand. I Have done 4 washes so far but now it won't start. I can turn it on and select certain washing preferences but it won't start!
That lever is the out of balance switch

That fault is the pump blocked error (no change in water level).
i have a quick and easy way to solve this problem.
first turn the machine off then tilt the machine back and lean it on something(a chair or wall), look underneath, in the top right hand corner of the plastic outer boul you will see a small pump motor it has a fan on it spin this fan and if it is hard to turn that means there is somthing stuck in the drain pump keep turning the fan and try to free whatever is stuck in the pump, then try the machine on spin again all goin well the object in the pump should come out with the drain water(doing this will not harm the machine) if the object is still stuck you will need to get the water out of the machine (bailing or siphioning will work) and tilt the machine back again and take the wires off the pump and there should be a white tab on the boul holding the pump on pull this tab and twist the pump anticlockwise about a quarter turn(you will need a few towels or a boul or bucket to catch the water) and it should come off exposing the blockage.

I have a Fisher & Paykel GW609AU Smartdrive Excellence 6.5 Washing Machine that would start then stop then start then stop a few more times before eventually beeping.
I fixed it by bypassing(joined the white and yellow wire) the trip out switch which is located under the control module(one screw to remove).Now it Works.

Unplug the machine have someone tilt the machine back and look under the machine for a little fan on a motor give it a turn to see if it spins it might just be sticky or it may need replacing.

sounds like a size error . when you changed the display did you size your machine to the new display module?did you get the re-size set of instructions with the new display board? ring up where you brought the display from and i"m sure they can help. if not reply back and i will guide you thru it.

When i push the start button it makes a sound but nothing happens
I tried leaning it against the wall then spinning the fan. It spun really easily...
Also, I have nothing inside it (neither water or clothes).
I have tunred it off at the wall and after 20 min i'm gunna try bypassing the trip out switch... I'll keep you posted.
ok I haven't tried the pypass yet but this is what i have done.
1.With the machine off: Press and hold the WASH TEMP DOWN button and then the POWER button until the machine gives 2 short beeps and lights up.
2. Press the SPIN SPEED UP button 3 times so that the HOLD and SLOW LEDs are illuminated.
3. Look at the 8 LEDs accross the top that show the progress of the cycle. Tell me which ones are illuminated. List them for me please (example: 1st, 6th,7th) From LEFT to RIGHT
I think I did it right. I tried twice.
Nothing lights up at the top.
All that is lit is high low (water level) and medium hold (speed)
I only do cold wash because we only have a cold tap.
I tried switching the tap into hot water to see if the cold water valve was broken. Still no action.
Just opened the machine up. I see a white plastic lever looking thing on the top right. What is that meant to be connected to?
