My Casio ex-z60 camara lens wont fully extend. When power is turned on, a clicking noise is heard. The LCD displays what will be captured, but is is blury. Then the lens closes and a "lens error" message apears on the LCD. Sometimes a message that says "retry power on" appears. Every thing else works fine. I am able to view my pictures .but I can not take any pictures.. Thank you
The same thing happened to me. I took my camera apart - just removing the case. I then operated my camera and it became "unstuck". now it works just fine. I put the case back on and all is just as before.

It sounds like you have stripped one of he gears in the gear box. There are 4 very small gears and you might have chipped a tooth off of one or so. I have used parts for the z60 & z75 at a reasonable price and will help with the installation. [email protected]. Thanks

ughhhh same problem. i've had this camera for years, and i was just taking a picture one day and it died with the lens still out, and when i went to put the battery back in this happened. i've been fidgeting with it for days and nothing has happened. i guess i'll have to (grudgingly) send it to a camera shop. :(
