My LCD screen works when I want to view pictures I've taken but when I want to take pictures I can't view my subjects through it. It worked fine this morning and now it doesn't. I feel as though I reset something I wasn't suppose to. I am showing it today to someone who want to buy it and I really need it to work properly.

is there a view finder on this camera? often when there is a screen and a viewfinder there is a button to toggle between them, my sony camera has such a button although it is not a cybershot. i imagine the button says "dis" or "LCD" and just needs to be toggled. if the display were bad you would not be able to view pictures on it. display works must be configuration issue.
"Live View", where you can see and compose your picture on the LCD, was not available on any digital SLR before 2007 (the Rebel XTi came out in late 2006). So you need to compose your picture using the optical viewfinder, take your picture, and the picture shows up on the LCD after you've taken it.
But it's still faster than having to wait until the film is developed. :-)
Your camera works just like a film camera SLR,. You use the eyepiece
to frame and focus your picture. The LCD screen is for reviewing
pictures taken or menu operations. You cannot preview a shot on screen before it is taken with the camera.
