My player won't come on when I press the power button - I have tried charging - the screen glows but nothing else happens - any suggestions would be appreciated
Battery is too low for player to charge. There is a firmware fix for this at www.p4c.philips.com
Fix cannot be applied until player is working again.
If you know someone who has the same player, put their battery in your unit to power up and apply firmware update to fix problem. Then swap batteries back again
Another way to get the player working is to remove the side panel to disconnect battery. Plug in the mains charger and reconnect the battery. You may need to do this several times before the player springs into life. If this doesn't work try disconnecting the charger and battery alternately and wait 5 secs between attempts.
