Question about Daewoo DVG-5200S DVD Player
When i turn on my dvd player (daewoo dvg-5200s) it will sometimes stay on stand by and other times its little screen will say "hello" then stop. i have tried to get it to load a dvd but it will not even open it will stay on the "hello" phase untill i unplug it. unplugging it seems to help sometimes it might get me a little farther in the process but still this trick only gets me to the screen saying telling me that the tray will open, but it never does. the player worked fine for a long time but then it seemed to just cop out on me. any help? Kaleb

if the problem is in every movie you should try to clean the lance there are special kits for it. If in some movies check if the DVD are not scratched.

ok! that is mechanical problem! you have loose belt drive change it! or mechanical switch or timing switch that sensor to open or close. clean all the switch. you found the switch under the tray of the CD plate.

Hi,
I have the same problem: my player (DVG-5200s) will stay in stand-by when I press the ON/OFF button and won't display the hello message. Unplugging it does help sometimes but other times I have to unplug / press the start button numerous times before finally being able to load a CD.
Anyone has a fix for this?
Thanks
I have the same problem. I was finally able to get it to open up and load a DVD, but it won't play it and now I can't get it to eject either.
