The dishwasher has an electrical water valve called a water inlet valve. If the dishwasher won't fill with water, the water inlet valve might be defective. These valves are not repairable and will have to be replaced.

The float assembly is normally inside the dishwasher near the door on the floor of the dishwasher. If something gets stuck underneath it and holds the float assembly up, the dishwasher won't fill with water. If the float assembly moves freely up and down, the float switch might be defective.

The float switch is actuated by the float assembly. It is a protection device designed to prevent the dishwasher from overfilling. If the dishwasher won't fill with water, it may be because this float switch is defective or stuck.

Water Supply Problem

The dishwasher is connected to the hot water supply from the house. Check to be sure the household water supply valve is turned on. Over time, calcium deposits can build up in the water supply valve or in the small filter screen inside the water inlet valve. The water supply line may need to be removed from the water inlet valve of the dishwasher, then run some water into a bucket to see if there is enough pressure. Be certain to turn off the water before working on the water line.

It sounds like the inlet valve for the hot water , if you turn the water off remove the two wires going to the valve remove the valve, you have to remove the water hoses I think they are 1/2 " wrench, it comes a part easy it may just be clog up with junk , be carful of the rubber gasget , this is an easy fix I am sure you can do this , also always turn power off first !!!

Take the kick panel on the bottom front and what you are looking for is an inlet valve its what your water line from under your sink is connected to the dishwasher. You will have an electrical connection on the valve. With a volt meter check to see if you have voltage at the valve when it should be filling with water.If you dont have 110volts then its either a timer or control board problem. If you have voltage when it should be filling with water then it a bad inlet valve.

It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it. Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

The most likely culprit in a "no fill" scenario (especially after you've replaced the valve) is the Overflow preventer. It's designed to kill power to the valve if the water level gets too high. It does this by floating up as the water level rises.
Open the dishwasher door and remove the lower rack. You'll see it in the tub on the left side (the round thing that looks like a little hat). If it's stuck in the up (overflow) position, you won't get water. Raise and lower this device a few times... you should hear the "click click click" of the kill switch. Now just make sure it's in full down (ready for water) position and fire up the dishwasher. You should get water now.

I fit won't fill then apparently you're not getting any water to it, which means it not's fixed. Did you turn the service valve back on since the repairs were made? Sometime when you turn a service valve off they fail to re-open. Crack the inlet water line and verify that you have incoming water.

Make sure you have water coming to the dishwasher. Next check your dishwasher float. Make sure it is not sticking. If not you could have a problem with your fill valve. Check for voltage at the fill valve if you have 120V then you need a valve the solenoid is defective. Replace it.
