I purchased the archos 28 tablet and it went dead one day a nd turned off and never turned back on please help i dont know what to do. ive tried charging it for a long time but that does not help what am i supposed to do please help????
LOL, you're up the creek. Never buy a computer that does not have a CD Drive on it because that is what you need now.
May the AC Adapter Power Cord is bad. Some of them have a indicator light on them when you plug them in the wall. Does yours have a light on it and does it light up?
When you plug the power cord in the tablet do you see any lights?
no when i plug it up i dont see any lights..
OK, so you don't see any lights when you plug the power cord in. Now my next question is, do you have a battery in the tablet? Did it ever work off the battery? If it did that means more than likely your Power Cord is bad and needs to be replaced, because it is not charging the battery anymore and now the tablet has no power source.

The way you know if you had a battery or not is try to remember if you ever used the tablet when it was not plugged into an electrical outlet. If you were in the living room and wanted to take the laptop to the kitchen table. If you unplugged it and it remained on until you got to the kitchen table it was operating off the battery.
I bet you've been operating off the battery the last couple of times you used the tablet and now you've completely drained the battery because the Power Cord is bad and not charging the battery. The laptop won't boot because the power cord is bad and the battery is dead. Purchase a power cord on ebay. Most times you can find them under $15.00 Just put in your tablet make and model followed by AC Adapter. Just put in Archos 28 Internet Tablet AC Adapter. I see some less than $10 on eBay. oh and its fully charged the green light blinks which indicates its charged right
Green light blinks, just make sure it's the battery light. If the battery is charged then your power cord is ok. You probably have issues on your motherboard with the memory or the video card. You're probably going to have to take it to a shop for a diagnosis and repair. Maybe it's still under warranty!!!!!

Check the driver for teh wireless card of the Arcos..and you knwo it works for sure cause you used it in another connection ..than the issue must be on the router ..get into the settings by typing the router's IP address into the browser address bar..and on the wireless settings ..enable the network ..change the channel with a middle one if it is the case and save the settings .For begining I suggest to remove any password for the wireless network to simplify the connection process..Also if you know a hot spot or you have access to another wireless connection try the tablet just to be sure it do nto have issues with the drivers or functionality of the wireless card ..(do not forget to enable the wireless card if it has a button for that )

We had a similar problem yesterday. It happens as soon as we plug in to USB cable to PC. We found that after we left it for some time it did eventualy kick back in to life. We could use it until we plugged in to USB again. Trying to find a solution to the problem right now. You can press and keep hold of volume up button while you turn back on and that kicks in the diagnostic software menu. From there you can find the "Force screen calibration" which we did but it doesnt sort out the problem of plugging in USB

In case you will have some errors/problems having such settings you have to:
# Log in to Yahoo! Mail
# select OPTIONS > MAIL OPTIONS > go to POP/FORWARDING > choose VIEW POP on Yahoo!Mail Server.

power button until the ARCHOS banner is displayed and then release it.
- Press the power
button twice (like a mouse double-click) while the banner is still
displaying.
- A white Recovery
screen should appear within a couple of seconds.

option to another, press the power button. To select the highlighted
item, hold down on the power
