Hi there This is a Sony TV but not the exact model as stated here, but pretty close model. One day the screen just changed to the colours purple and green (fluro). the kids may have been playing with it and caused it. Not sure... please help! Helen

I was moving the tv and the satelite decoder when I heard something. I picked up the decoder and there was a copper coin inside it that my kids had put in there. It had obviously been shorting out the decoder to make the tv picture purple and green! I moved the coin around inside until it solved the problem. Funny...

My TV has a green / purple tint on the corners. Help?

It might be due to picture tube problem... As its too old, the picture tube might be weak and hence you might get colors at the edges.. Better replace the picture tube with a new one to solve this problem

I have a Sony bravia 32" (KLV-32T400A) and have just bought an xbox.. On trying to connect it using the HDMI input an error comes up saying that it's not a supported signal. I also tried plugging my laptop...

All hd-ready tv's only support max 1080i and not 1080p. The default setting on the Xbox is 1080p, that's why you get that message. There is a way to fix this, just follow the steps below:

Connect TV and X box via HDMI cable with units switched off.

Switch both units on.

  1. Press the right arrow 7 times (Left top jog knob on game controller)

  2. Press "A" button 4 times (Green button)

  3. Press "up" arrow once to set to 1080i

  4. Press "up" arrow once again to set to 720p.

  5. Press "A" to store setting

Problem with a colour display on Hisense tv

If your picures are all purple it means that the green colour is missing. TV colour is made up by mixing Red, Green & Blue. Removing Green leaving Red & Blue makes purple. Study the green colour circuit for a fault and confirm that the green gun inside the tube is working.

Tv turns purple and green if on too long

try dusting out the inside, or maybe using a vaccum hose to get all the dust out.
