My picture is green almost all the time? Start off back in Aug 06, it was seconds at a time, then mins, then hours? Any idea what part(s) could need replacement-- is it easy to myself or should I call a repair man? Tx
This is a CRT type projection TV set. You could have a bad green picture tube, a bad connection on one or more of the picture tube sockets and or driver boards, or there is a RGB driver problem in the video jungle IC or the output driver transistors. If you have had any experience with solid state TV repair, there should be no problem figuring out whats not or is working in this set. If you have not had any experience, there is alot of high voltage on these picture tube sockets, and one wrong move and you will get a perm of a lifetime. That voltage hits you so hard, I have seen it make a grown man cry. Play it safe and call in a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck PS Please do not forget to rate this thread.
