The water appears to be leaking from the inside, floods the bottom and leaks outside.

That is a very common problem caused by the defrost drain being blocked. Click here=> Leaking refrigerators just what may be happening then here=> Leaking Refrigerators!

SOURCE: Subzero 611 Refrigerator not cooling, freezer fine

It sounds like a defective ref section evaporator. This is common, due to poor quality metal used in fabrication. If you call subzero, they will more than likely fix it as they are aware of this issue. It probably wont cost you anything if you get them involved.

SOURCE: Sub Zero 632 leaking water

Had the same problem on the same model (632). Turned out to be a plugged drain tube on the condensate collection trough located on back wall of the refrigerator. Simply pull out the crisper drawer (the drawer below the lowest shelf) and you'll bee the trough. The drip tube can easily be plugged by a vegetable leak or grape, etc which had fallen into this trough. Hope its as simple for you as for us.

SOURCE: Subzero model #561, freezer is warm, water leak

Check to see if the freezer fan is running. Push in the two switches at the top. The light should go out and if the freezer is powered on the fan should come on. The icemaker runs on temperature so no cold means no ice. Check for ice build up around the evaporator. Could be a defrost issue or a sealed system problem. As for the water, is it the floor of the unit or the floor of the house? Is the drippan in place or sitting on the floor? Also check the condenser fan motor. If this is all greek to you, you should probably call a factory authorized servicer.

SOURCE: I have an older model subzero (refrigerator on top

Honestly I can't think of any cause for this that wouldn't require a qualified servicer. Most likey one of the drains is blocked and they make heaters to correct the issue

Why is there water leaking from bottom of refrigerator section of subzero?

Frostless freezers will go into a defrost cycle periodically and the frost that accumulates in the freezer section melts and runs into a pan under the refrigerator section, through a drain hose. If this hose clogs with crud (common) the melt water can't drain and leaks into refrigerator section (or it was designed this way so as to prevent refreezing.) As the drain is clogged, thd water builds up until it overflows to floor level.

You need to locate the drain in bottom of the refrigerator section (usually near the back where its hidden from view) and clear it out. (Use care as its usually only a vinly hose and can be punctured or slipped off its connection).

Subzero 632 drain pan full of water and overflows onto floor

Dear,

Any one who charges that much for a "freon" leak in a 632 and does not replace the evaporator is a complete charlatan. Your "freon" will leak out again and more problems will occur.

What is your model number? Every different model leaks differently but the same reason (defrost drain frozen shut) causes water to appear in different places in different models. Click here=> Leaking Refrigerators

We have been getting service code 50 for our SubZero -- it;s a 690 model fridge/freezer. I cleaned everything however over last three weeks the error repeats. I reset the board by pulling power from the...

Error code 50 means excessive refrierator section compressor run. Possible causes include: dirty condenser, stopped condenser motor, faulty termistor or an evaporator refrigerant leak. If it is a refrigerant leak it usually shows up as frost or water driplets half way down on the back wall. Clear codes by holding the alarm button in for 15 seconds.

Sub zero 532: noise increasing.

We have the same SubZero unit and the water leak is the ice maker line or the pan that catches condensation. If you unscrew the panel at the bottom, you will be able to take the pan out and see if the water is from there. If it is from the ice maker line (which was plastic on ours), you should fix this right away as we didn't and we ended up having a $10,000 flood that ruined our hardwood floors. Also, the increased motor noise happened to us as well, but when we had the motor replaced, it is not much quieter.
