Changed the bulb (new) but now black screen but has sound.

I know this isn't the right field to enter this information, however I cant recall where that is. So I will state that as it turned out the lamp was the culprit. After buying the manual from http://www.ManualsParadise.com, [bad photos within the manual from Panasonic] and having a friend or a friend look over the particular pages referring to the thermistor AND looking at the lamp, we couldn't determine whether or not the bulb had blown or "fizzled out". As it ended up, thru Panasonic, I found a service technician that would come out to my home, and he was able to determine that it was indeed the lamp. Cost me $300 for the replacement lamp, and additional monies for labor. Not to mention my out of pocket for the service manual and the first tech coming out and looking it over.

Probably the lamp. You can change this yourself.
SOURCE: Screen is black but sound is good
It's possible that your ballast might have gone out or it has very poor voltage. A ballast is the one in charge of sending all the energy to the lamp so it can stay on.discountdashmerchantdotcom
