Okay, I just got my tv from my ex after 3 years and it seems i have a problem. When I turn the set on it has 2 blue lines one on top coming down in a wave fashion and one on the bottom going up with the same wave fashion. After about 10 seconds the screen goes blank. Does anyone know what my exsisting problem may be and how can i correct this problem? Is the cost going to be worth more than the tv?
I had the same problem and just listed the dang TV on craigslist cuz I didn't want to spend $$$ to fix. I searched the internet to see if I could somehow fix it (not mechanically inclined whatsoever) but low and behold, I did it!!! It's so easy, the worst thing about it is unscrewing the screws! Just be careful when you finally get done unscrewing everything, be cautious when removing the bottom front away because if you yank too hard, there are wires connected to the power buttons in the front. Sounds like bad CRT's

It looks like a $1500.00 job to get fixed, better off getting a new TV. If they even make the CRTs anymore, they are about $300.00 a piece, and you need three!
