Hello, I got this USB a while ago and have been using it for a few months after I lost my previous USB. Anyways I forgot the password and so reformatted the drive because of password protection. That's not a problem for me as I didn't encrypt anything on the drive. However there are now so many files and folders with random symbols and signs in their titles. I did not put them there and I cannot delete, move, or do anything to these files and they're really bugging me. Can someone please help me, I don't know what these things are and how to get rid of them. Thank you.
Yes, download hirens boot cd (.iso) from any site, write it on cd, then restart PC, boot from CD/DVD, in there there is mini windows and mini linux, explore your files by mini windows or mini linux. You can see all your files and copy them other place, then remove olds.

In order to delete your privacy zone, you have to get the application once more. To get the software click here http://verbatim.com/support/support.cfm?open=Downloads ...ok so you will have to format your flash drive with the application, removing the privacy zone if you want, this will obiously DELETE ALL DATA ON THE DRIVE after the format has completed, you can then remove the application from you flash drive, if you still remember the privacy zone password, then all you have to do is just type it and you have acess to the privacy zone... anyone who needs assistance can contact me to [email protected] if you are confused, email me and i can also try to clear it up for you. no solution but same problem. when I bought I erased everything on it and after some time use it protected itself. In my opinion because it has open pinouts one side wet finger may cause protection bur dont know how to unlock
