W890i wont ring, or play text alerts.

Suddenly is like its opted for silent mode (althought is is NOT in silent mode).
I cant hear it ringing, or when i have atext. please help. I have tried resetting the phone, but nothing.

Ive found out that the front speaker needs replacing. A common fault with W890i's. A repair job that costs approx £50.

Mine is on its way back to where i bought it from. Needless to say, I wont be buying this phone again.

I cant hear it ringing while incoming call from any caller it just vibrate only.Any Idea how to solve this problem.my phone has the latest update from SEUS.

Double ring tone issue

Go to the same place that you go to to put it on vibrate and scroll down to set ring tones/alerts and sms text and change the settings the volume should be set to silent.

My sony ericsson has no sound when ringing

If your player is working, and you already setup menu/settings/sounds&alerts/ring volume 5-8, and silent off you should use your warranty for that phone. That is the problem with most se w890i.

Phone does not ring when call comes in on my Motarola Razrv3 cell phone. It vibrates but no ring. The ring volume is set on 7.

1st make sure that your phone speaker is not malfunction, to do this just play any ring tone from your phone to check whether there is a sound come out from the phone speaker.
If there is no problem to hear sound from phone then have to check the phone setting, to do this just PRESS and HOLD the button #, a shortcut to toggle between RING mode and VIBRATE mode. Or goto Setting>Audio>Style Detail, and change the alert type such as sound or music. Make sure u are not in the Silent style mode.

it seems to be quite a common problem for all W890 owners. Mine has the same problem...........frustrating. Sony Ericsson should provide a recall or free repair through its Agents.

My Sony Ericsson W890i, I cant set the alarm with a vibrate tone?

You go to:
main menu->settings->sounds & alerts (or something like that)-> vibrating alert
Open this and you will find 3 choises (on,on if silent, off). Choose "ON".
Then vibrating alert will be always turned ON,even if You putt it on "silent".

I have a sony ericsson w890i and when I recieve a call there is no ringtone. I have tried different ringtones and they all play on the speaker but not when I get a call.I have reset the phone and...

make sure you have the phone set to ring, it could be on silent or vibrate mode, there is also a profile that will not allow you to set ring tone, it'll always be silent, so try a different profile

first check in profile that in incoming alert is set to ringing or not if it is setted to ringing than probably your problem is the ringer when you recieve a call do you listen?

My cell phone wont ring!!!!!

May be you selected the " Silent Profile " by accident in settings. Go to Menu > Settings > Profiles > and see what you have Choose something other than Silent and Activate see if your phone rings !
