Hello I'm having problems with my Denon AV Surround Reciever AVR-1507. When it's on standby, there's no problem - the red lights show clearly as it should. When I press the on/standby button it *clonks* and starts blinking green as it should. But by the where it usually is ready it *clonks* again and starts blinking red. Can you help? I've checked the fuses, but they seem ok.
Unplug it, let it set for about 15 min., plug it back in and see what happens. Hopefully it will recycle itself. If that fails, with your theater remote, you can pull up it's functions screen on your TV, and probably return it to factory default settings. That would be a last resort for me before seeking professional help. Good luck. . .

Hi
Thanks for using
FixYa. Store these instructions in a safe place. After reading, store
these instructions along with the warranty card in a safe place. Whenever the power operation button is in the
STANDBY state, the unit is still connected to AC line voltage. Please be sure
to turn off the power operation button or unplug the cord when you leave home
for, say, a vacation. Note that the illustrations in these instructions may
differ from the actual unit for explanation purposes. Please click on this link

Long and painful answer!!! However, in the end, you need to bypass HDMI thru your receiver and go direct to the TV. Connect Digital Coaxial or Optical for audio to your receiver. Your version of HDMI in your receiver is not compatable with today's HDMI version. Yours is 1.1a and the current version is 1.3b going to 1.4. If you want detailed info as to "why", just google "HDMI 1.1 problems" you can read for hours! Sorry for the bad news! However, it is what it is. Hope this helps. If you need further help with setup, post a comment and I can give you further help.

replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. i had the
exact same problem with mine and once i replaced the capacitors it
powered up and stayed on and worked perfect.
these capacitors tend to fail as they're of poor quality.
this fault is very common on denon receivers, especially the later models.
hope this helps?

Was it put into standy from the remote control and then just turned off at the wall? This can be a common cause, as it will be stuck in standby
if the receiver does not power on from standby there is a problem like bad power supply or even bad macroprocessor. You need to bring it to a service center for diagnosing. 10-years old receiver, maybe better to buy new one.
