Question about Brother FAX-1030e Plain Paper Thermal transfer

1 Answer

Brother Fax-1030. Not worked since power failure. Only prints power failure report saying 'The electricity failed. The Following data was lost ? Transmission Memory'. Then stops and the LCD screen displays 'Check Paper' and when you reset the paper supply it then prints another 'power failure report' and then goes back to 'check paper'. When a fax did try to come in the LCD screen displayed 'memory full' but now it has gone back to 'check paper'!!!!!!! How can I reset the transmssion memory??????? Thanks Sue

Hello Sue!

In Brother Fax-1030 the stored documents will be saved for up to 6 hours in the event of a power failure

Please check "Troubleshooting" in the manual. I hope it will help.

SOURCE: No manual to "Brother Super G3 336kbps IntelliFax-2920"

It is telling you the fuser unit needs replacement. Thats the heater that fuses the toner particles to the paper by heating them. If it cannot reach the correct tempurature the toner comes right off the paper.

So you will need to order a fuser wire kit to fix that error. That can be fairly expensive on a brother. I believe somewhere around $150 and up.

I can at least help you get a replacement manual. This link takes you to the downloads for your printer and you can then download the various manuals.

SOURCE: brother 8360p has faxes in memory but will not

I have seen a few Brother faxes do this. I fixed them by turning off the power, holding down the clear/stop button and keep holding it down while you turn the power back on. Keep holding it for a few seconds then release. This will clear what ever is in the memory that is locking up the memory print. Note: you will lose any received faxes in memory by using this procedure.
This may help you restore your fax to a operation condition.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
