Question about Toshiba PDR-3320 Digital Camera
Unfortunately, if there is a power loss while a camera's software is being updated, it can (and in this case apparently has) corrupt the control software. You may be able to download the latest firmware to correct this fault, but otherwise you may need to replace the camera.

I read in another Toshiba forum where some users were putting a small piece of electriacal (black) tape over the flash sensor, and their indoor photos with flash turned out spectacular, since it allows the camera to apply more light . Actually fools the camera but it works. You might want to experiment with it..

You have bad capacitors in the power supply that took out the regulator, or the ballast circuit is defective. Not really a repair for the novice. Good Luck

SOURCE: Toshiba M45-S331, Black screen
I just went through all this myself. First I had the inverter replaced ($200) and it worked great for a week, then the screen went out again. It turned out that the LCD needed replaced ($200 more, labor comped from the first no-fix). There's a problem with the Toshiba LCDs that makes them burn out sooner than other brands. Since the replaced screen, no problems (2 months). Sucks, I know.
