Question about Canon imageCLASS MF8170C All-In-One Laser Printer
Someone has pressed print on a page that is obviously the wrong size. Our printer only prints A4. It has printed this one page about 25 times, only to stop, asking us to "check paper size" WHAT DO I DO!! I cannot cancel this job, as it's disappeared from the printing queue on the PC.
For god's sake don't ring canon customer service as they are useless and just keep directing me to their **** driver which is causing the problem. i could not convince them that my "printer properties" "paper available" was locked on "letter" and won't allow me to change it. even when i go to the "printer preferences" page and set everything to a4 and press "apply" it still is locked on "letter" in the "printer properties" page. Iv'e probably wasted about 20 hours on this and my office has nearly ground to a halt. If i knew it was going to be this much bother i could have just bought another brand printer.

Blow the damn printer up. I've spent three hours already trying to stop a page printing 40+ times! Doesn't show in the print queue on the PC, nor in the memory of the printer. I've had over 30 printers and this is quite probably the worst I've ever had to suffer. Noisy thing as well!

You need to delete the job from the printer memory with the printer keyboard or using the web admin interface. This sucks big time. Canon seems to think it is a feature, not a bug.
