PT-43LC14 No Picture, chirping sound when turned on

I have a almost brand new (maybe 50 hours) PT-43LC14 Panasonic HDTV. Problem is When I turn power on with remote light flashes green, then starts a chirping noise every 30 seconds or so. No picture, no sound. It worked fine the last time we used it and then a friend watched it and now it won't come on. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I call someone out.

Begfore calling a servicer, pull the bulb out and check if it is broken. The chirping you hear could be the ballast trying to fire the lamp. If it is blown, make sure you clean the vent filters when replacing it.

Most of the time, when there is a chirping comming from a TV set, there is a short somewhere inside the TV set. That chirping noise is the TV's power supply starting up and shutting down because of a heavy load on the power supply. These sets have no user replaceable parts inside them, so play it safe, and call out a pro to assist you in this repair. good Luck PS Please do not forget to rate this thread.

How do i reset lamp hour meter

Hi,
Turn On tv.
While pressing the VOL- button on the projection display, hold down the PIP or SPLIT button on the remote control simultaneously for more than 5 seconds.
This will reset lamp timer in Panasonic PT-43LC14
When the lamp time reset procedure is complete, the Lamp Time is Reset screen will appear.
Thanks.

Reset Time Problem on Panasonic TV (PT-50LC13)

Power on the set, listen for afaint buzzing sound as the set tries to fire up. If you do not here it then your lamp driver, or ballast is most likely faulty. Also make sure you have the door and all covers back in place and secure. And make sure you insatlled an orginal panasonic lamp because some generic will not work.
