SOURCE: memory card error

Did you format the card before using it on your camera? Try using a memory card reader instead of the printer's SD card slot to transfer the video. Also check if the memory card is locked (check the position of the yellow slider at the right side of the card). If this does not work, then you will have to format the card. Unfortunately this will erase all the data in your card.

SOURCE: SD card - memeory card parameter error

The manual for the camera states that the memory card must be formatted in the camera and that cards formatted in a computer may not work properly. Use the format command in the camera.

8G micro SD only shows 1.87

If you "formatted" the card using the 'FAT16' file-system format, the maximum size is 2 billion bytes (1.87 Gigabytes).
Copy all the files onto your computer, and reformat it with the 'FAT32' file-system format, which does support your 8 billion bytes of memory.

I have an 8GB micro sd card for my blackberry storm when i put it in. It says media card has inserted contains errors. to correct the errors use a disk error-checking utility on a computer. what do i need...

Hi,

The chances on any micro sd card showing errors can be either the files stored in it are corrupted or the card is simply bad already. You may try to identify the problem by performing the following steps.

1· Access micro sd card through a card reader. May it be built-in in a computer or an accessory that needs to be plugged-in to a computer.
2· Wait for a few seconds for the computer to read the micro sd card.
a· If it asked you to "open the folder to view files", do so then copy all contents in a new folder on your desktop. This is to make a backup copy of your files. Then, format the micro sd card with FAT32 format. Copy all files back to your micro sd card.
b· If it asked you to format the micro sd card, most likely all files are corrupted. Try to format the card for re-use. If not successful, your micro sd card is bad already and needs replacement.

I hope this works for you. Good Luck!

8g sd card doesnt work on jvc camcorder...it says card error

Each camera have maximum memory card to be readable. If the memory capacity is to high from the limit, the camera will hard to write the data inside the card and said that "card error".
Try to insert memory card with lower capacity (4 or 2 GB) and read the user manual to know optimum memory card for your device.

Hope this help and RATE please !

Memory card error replaced card but still get error message?

Is it the SD memory card? or the Micro HDD(4GB) you're pertaining to. In case of micro hdd not detected or error, micro hdd socket(CF) assembly has a problem most likely, need to be replaced. SD card; check your SD card's capacity, it can handle only up to 2GB or try to format your card elsewhere and re insert it again in your camcorder, if it will prompt you "FORMAT SD CARD?" you're lucky
