Our Hotpoint electric oven has recently developed a heating problem. While all of the burners appear to be working normally, the oven has decided that it doesn't want to heat up. In testing it today, it took over 40 minutes to pre-heat to 350 degrees. Do you have any ideas on what component(s) might be failing? Thanks for your help!
Cheak for 240 volts coming out of your wall if it reads 120 volts it is your house breaker

I have the same problem on a Frigidiare double oven. It takes about 18 minutes on each oven to reach 350 degrees while in convection mode. I did cycle the 240 volt circuit breaker just to see if that would fix it. It did not.
REPLACED BOTTOM OVEN ELEMENT STILL DOES NOT WORK
I have the same problem with an electric Amana stove/oven. I've been waiting for more than 40 minutes tonight for it to pre-heat to 350.
Hello,
Maytag electric oven taking hours to heat to desired temp. - 375 degrees.
Shut off circuit breaker to see if that was problem, didn't help.
Any suggestions?
