The display is failing, the keypad control board must be replaced to remedy the situation.

Yes! but I would not recommend it, the voltages are lethal when powered, also! the part is not just the keypad, includes the control board, price for the part $100.00 and up, more than some microwave ovens.

I have a whirlpool over the range microwave the display won't work

The display may have an internal fuse. If everything else works fine then the display itself is faulty.

The numbers that display the minutes is not reable anymore how can I fix this?

If you can still read the time and count down when it is cooking, use it the way it is. The cost to repair would not be justified, it would require a new keypad control board which contains the display.

HOTPOINT COUNTERSAVER PLUS RVM 1435 DISPLAY READS F3

"F3" on a GE / Hotpoint microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

On RVM1435-series microwaves, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do-it-yourself job.
You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number (RVM1435XX###) from the tag on the oven here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.

You can get that repaired for $39.95 in most cases (details here) or order a control / display unit here.

Whirlpool GH7155XHS microwave shows partial display

The display is defective and requires replacement. Unfortunately, the display is probably incorporated as a unit with the control panel and must be purchased as an entire service part. This will cost $80-$120 depending on the oven make & model. It will cost more if you have a repairer install the part.

It may be more cost effective to replace the oven. Microwave ovens are rather inexpensive these days.
