I need the instructions for Dora the explorer dominoes

I searched the internet and found the following discussion:

https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/144585/thumped-kids

The Dora set is just like a double 6 set except there are pictures of Dora characters instead of pips. The characters are Dora, Boots, Map, Backpack, Isa, Benny, and Swiper. There is a total of 28 dominoes in the set.

We played a simple game. Each player picked 5 dominoes, with the remaining dominoes forming a bonepile. We drew one domino from the bonepile to start the game. Each player, in turn, must play a domino with a matching Dora character to either end of the domino line. If a player is unable to match either character, then that player must draw from the bonepile until a matching domino is drawn. First player to get rid of their dominoes wins.

Cathy,

Why not just perform a Google search for Domino rules? That would be far easier than asking questions here.

Rules for dominoes

Players: Two, three or four may play the game of Dominoes. If four are playing the game, it may be played as a partnership (the two players sitting opposite one another are partners).
The Shuffle: To begin the dominoes are placed face down and "shuffled." Players draw one domino. The player drawing the highest double or if no double, the highest domino plays first. Re-shuffle and then begin drawing the first hand.
Drawing: Each player then draws seven dominoes for his hand. The remaining dominoes (the boneyard), if any, are left face down on the table to be drawn later if a player is unable to play from his hand.
Begin Play: The player who drew the highest double or the highest domino plays first, playing any domino he wishes from his had.
Object of the game: Scoring points by laying the dominoes end to end (the touching ends must match: i.e., one's touch one's, two's touch two's, etc.). If the dots on the exposed ends total any multiple of five the player is awarded that number of points. All sides of the first double (the spinner) may be used one piece to each side and later one to each end. All other doubles are played at right angles to the line and the total points on both ends are counted. Dominoing occurs when one player goes out by playing all of his dominoes. The sum of the spots of all opposing players is computed and added to the dominoing player's score (rounded to the nearest five). In partnership play the spots of the partner of the one who "DOMINOED" are not counted.
Blocking the Game: If in the course of the game it is impossible for any of the players to play, the game is "Blocked." The player (or partners) having the least spots in his (or their combined) hand(s) scores the total of the spots in the opponents' hands (rounded to the nearest five). The score of 250 points is usually considered a game. The first person (or partnership) to score this amount wins the game. Shuffle and begin a new game. The player who won plays first.

When play dominoes do u have to say dominoes at the end of game

Domino's is not Uno. General rules do not include having to say dominoes in order to go out. However, there are tons of house rules, which means people change the rules depending on how they want to play the game. So it is possible that the people you were playing with have the house rule that you have to say dominoes when you go out.

How do you play the game 42?

It's like spades. You have 4 players in teams. Every person takes 7 dominoes and you have to play tricks that each count for 1 point. Anything with a multiple of 5 dots counts also as points.

How do you play dominoes?

there are multiple variations, however the game I was taught was you have one piece pulled out that is a double mark (same number on both sides) and scramble then deal out the rest so everyone has an equal number of dominoes. After that, the person to the left lays down a domino that matches the number of the double. Numbers go end to end, except for doubles- they split it- so if you have a layout like = ''==
you can with a double go
''
==''==''
''

(crude drawing)
The object of the game is like Uno- be the first player out, with the pips on the dominoes counted up and tallied against the players that did not go out. First person to hit 100 loses.

What are the game rules for turkey trot with dominoes?

I grew up playing turkey dominoes and there is no written rules on how to play but the rules I was told growing up are simular to chicken foot because of how you start the rounds but you don't do the three openings off of every double that's played. For example you have to go in order from double six down to double blank. If 2 or 3 people are playing then the turkey would be the space where someone else would've played as if there was 4 people. If you have 4 people playing then the turkey would be between two players spaces. At the end or each round the person that went out will get zero points and the other players would count each dot on their dominoes. Once you play the double blank round you add all the points for each round and the person with the lowest score wins.
