Sandisk m240 freezes halfway through playlist....

Hi- I have a Sandisk m240 mp3 player... I use Yahoo Music Engine... I'm on a hi-speed connection...running Windows XP... I have totally re-formatted the unit...The only content on it is a 15 song Xmas playlist. It plays roughly 4-5 songs, then freezes up at the conclusion of the next song. I've gone through and deleted the song it stops on, only to find it then locks on on a different song. ????

When you disconnect be sure to use windows' disconnect device safely  thing on the bottom right part of the screen by the clock. Even though the player says it's not writing it probably still is even after a long period of time so if you just unplug it it will mess up whatever mp3 it was transferring at the time.

Does anyone know if mine, a SanDisk 1.0 GB is salvageable? The CD that came with it was destroyed when my helper cut into it opening the plastic...:( so it has never been used...is there away around this...

Definitely! You don't need the software at all. Just connect the player to your computer with the USB. It should open as a disk drive (if it asks you, choose 'open folder to view files') and then you can just copy music to it with drag and drop. Then use 'safely remove hardware' before you unplug it again, and you should be 'good to go'.

I can't get the songs downloaded from my Windows Media Center to the sansa m240 MP3

Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.

Playlist creation

well u don't have to use a program for putting music on to ur mp3 player it works like a flash drive so if u go to my computer and go into the device u can put music on like that and then put wat music u want in a playlist into it's own folder and right click it then click create playlist and just to make sure u have the songs in the right order double click the playlist icon and re-arrange as u want. BUT DON"T DELETE THE FOLDER! i have done that a couple of times, when u delete the folder it, the playlist is gone. anyways hope that helps u but if it doesn't email me at [email protected]

Help Please!!

Hi,

Have you gone to the mp3 player in my computer?
windown media player doesnt normaly put them into the music folder it usually just puts them on them front page.

Playlist Problem !!!

The Sansa m200 series can only create playlists in MTP mode. on the menu go to settings>USB. There are two options MSC and autodetect. Once in autodetect your sansa should say MTP when connected to your PC. In this mode you should be able to add playlists without any trouble.
Hope it helps
