My Ilo 32 LCD tv only shows a blue screen and has no sound. I've tried to hook my ps3 up to it in both the hdmi port and the audio video ports. When I cycle through the inputs all I get is a blue screen and no sound. Is this something I can fix myself or do I need to send it in for repair?

Hi, I'm afraid that not only a cable is needed but an analog (vga) to digital (dvi) converter/scaler as well. The iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12 can hook up to a PC using the DVI-I connection only. As you said, your computer has the standard 1D15 pin VGA connector. Another possibility is if your video card has a composite video output (normally a color yellow RCA female) or an S-Video output which will both connect direct to your iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12. For the RCA connection all you need is an ordinary RCA to RCA shielded wire cable and for the S-Video, an S to S Video cable will work. There is of course the question about the quality or the resolution. Good luck and hope that this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.

What resolution are you using? It might not work if it's set any higher than 1366x768. And set the refresh rate to 60 Hz.

There are a number of things that can cause the problem:
The frame and scan rate from your computer is not matched to the specs of the monitor. The monitor may have a sync lock fault.
LCD monitors must be operated in their native mode for best results. Some models are very critical for the frame and scan rate especialy when using a composite video source.
If you take the monitor to the service rep for it, the should be equiped to diagnose it and tell you the exact answer.

I hooked a sylvania 220sl8 dvd/cd/vcr, The vcr works, the dvd does not. Why?
SOURCE: HDMI ON ILO 32HD
I use a Toshiba DVD Player SD-6100 and had the same problem when using a HDMI cable. The ILO TV kept saying no signal. I don't know how to make the PS3 change into sending the HDMI signal, I'm sure though that is is similar as to the dvd player simply changing it in a menu. All I had to do was use a component cable to access the dvd player menu and from there changed the video out signal to hdmi, thus sending a signal to the frikkin tv. It all works now.
The Ps3 should have a similar menu to select video signal output. Try accessing it using a previously working cable, then once changed, switch on the tv back to hdmi input and see if it worked.
Hope this helps
Cheers
