No power to washing machine but fuse is ok...

Less than a month ago I bought a new Hotpoint Aqulatis AQXXD169PM washing machine. To operate, you press the 'on' switch and the LCD panel lights up and you choose your cycle. This morning I put the wahing in, pressed the button and nothing happens! No lights, no power. I took the fuse out and tried another but still nothing. I tried the original fuse in another appliance and its not blown, so why is this brand new machine not working?!

No lights on panel. Nothing happens when on/off switch is pressed. Power supply checked to switch.

I have the same issue on a different hotpoint. Ran the tester over everything inside power is getting in and all wiring is fine. I admit, I have not tried the door lock as I would presume the lights would still turn on even if the door lock is broken, but maybe I presume wrong?

Could be 2 things 1)try closing the door and banging the machine on the front next to where your door catch goes into the washer if it starts could have a lose wire or be faulty 2)if no1 doesnt work than it will be your mains filter which if blown power doesnt get to your machine if the machine is brand new and has manufacturers warranty then these are covered through the warranty and any tampering will void your warranty though should be covered for no less than a year

Could it be that some liquid or cleaning fluid has got into the plastic membrane, if it has one, behind the switches? I had a microwave that did this once.

Hi we have a Hotpoint Aqualtis AQXXD169PM washuing machine that is approx 3 years old. It has worked fin until a day or so ago when taking out the washing it was still soaking wet. After investigation it...

Assuming that the pump is okay and water is draining properly,Could be the speed control module or motor brushes, normally they last around 5 years and wear out simple to fit , you could remove one from the motor to check that is not worn right down to Zilch,if these are okay then you may need an engineer,as this is quite an expensive part to fit,you could phone hotpoint they charge around 100GBP,to repair......Parts are supplied free of charge with a call out hence the £100...hope you get on ok...

Check the power outlet, the plug and the cable or with the appropriate tester see if you have mains power where the power cable connects to the machine wiring.

Water remains in the tub after spin cycle

Sounds to me like the Water Pump is bad. Hopefully if your machine is less than a year old you can get it fixed for free, if you bought it new it will have a 12 month warranty on it. If not you can always buy the manual for your washer and try to fix it yourself.

Hotpoint WDM 73 keeps tripping ringmain when powered on

I suspect that the problem is probably being caused by a fault on the dryer element or thermostat.
Remove the top cover and disconnect the heater, and see what happens..
If it does not trip, then prob is the dryer element or stat.
Hope this helps.

My hotpoint AQXXD169PM frist said the pump was

F11 - No hot fill. The ambient temperature is likely to be below freezing possibly due to the pipes being frozen. Also check that the taps are on or if the drain hoses are kinked.
