My Stepdad had a similar problem - a connector inside the phone came dislodged in shipping, we just had to open it up and re-connect it: check out the fix-it manual:

How to fix nokia6300 keypad problem

If you still in warranty period, claim your warranty to make it fixed. But if warranty time has expired you can change the keypad by yourself or have it repaired by technician. Spare part for keypad is available to replace your broken keypad.

Hope this help

the keypad was not properly placed or it might be defective. I suggest u visit "nokia care" (their service centre) and get ur keypad replaced or adjusted. They will do it for free if ur phone is still in the warranty period. Best of luck.

Keypad problem of sony ericsson

It could be any number of problems, jhoyz0018: a fault, it has been dropped, or it may just be dirt/dust that has lodged under the membrane and stops the keppad from working properly.

You have three options:

1. If you bought the phone from a store or direct from a manufacturer or Airtime Provider, return it for replacement/repair.

2. If you have Phone or Home Contents Insurance, make a claim for a new phone on that.

3. If you bought the phone second hand, off eBay or similar, then carefully remove the fascia, clean the membrane and keypad with a lint-free cloth or air-brush and re-assemble. If still not working, you will need to return your phone for repair/replacement.

Good luck!

Keypad freeze

Did the key pad froze before you took the battery off? If so, it mean the keypad is damaged. If you have insurance, you may call customer service and have it replaced for a new one.

If it frozed after you shoot it off, you might call customer service from another phone and they might help you to unlock your phone.

Motorola RAZR v3 keypad stopped working

I would try everything I could to see if they would warranty it anyway. Otherwise this seems like a software problem go to motorola's support page and get their software upgrader as well as a data cable driver for your phone. Then all you need is a mini usb cable. Motorola says you need a certified one but I have never used theirs and they charge ENTIRELY too much for them.
