Mom was hitting buttons and now DVD plays Blue and White!

Well one night my mom started to fuss with the Go-Video remote, she started hitting a bunch of buttons, and now the screen plays in blue and white, this is for all my dvd's and the VCR works fine. My regular TV channels are fine too, its just the DVD player. I dont know what she did but I need help. Thx, Boomy

I think your mom changed the DVD output setting. Using the remote, go to the Setup Menu, then select DVD Setup. Scroll down to the Alt Video Out option. It will either be set to "Component", S-Video, or "Off". It needs to be set to the type output you are using to go from your Go Video deck to your TV. If you are using an S-Video cable, then set it to "S-Video", if using Component cables (Red, Blue, and Green cables), then set to "Component". Otherwise it should be set to "Off".

Hope this helps.

TCL Blue Screen "No Media"

I HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER!!!! I just bought an TCL TV last night and was given the wrong remote. Screen was stuck on "no media" screen BUT I noticed that when I turn the tv on and keep pressing the menu button, the menu screen would pop up for a half second before the no media screen popped up again. So I knew it was able to access it. SO, it took a few try's and with no exact method I turned the tv on, waited til I saw the TCL logo and then simultaneously pressed the menu and channel up button repeatedly. It will open the menu for you and allow you to move between the input channels!!!! It WILL take a few tries to catch it but it worked!!! Your welcome!!!!

I used a hdmi cable and lost cable. now cannot use av adapter no picture.

If you have absolutely no picture, hook it up with the av adapter and follow these instructions exactly: Turn your PS3 on with your remote. Note: all of these directions will be with the D-pad on your remote, joystick is not accurate. 1) If you have multiple profiles on your system, just hit X; if you don't, start at step 2 2) scroll entirely to the right. Hold your right D-pad in for about 5 seconds 3) Tap your left d-pad button exactly 7 times. 4) Hold up on your D-pad for 5 seconds 5) Press down on your D-pad exactly 11 times and hit X 6) Hold up for about a second; hit X 7) Hitt the down button 2 times and you'll be over the composite/s-video connector. RED/WHITE/YELLOW. Hit X 8) YOU WILL NOT SEE IT YET, your screen will internally read "Press the x button. The screen will be displayed based on this setting. If the setting is not correct, the screen will go blank temporarily. Then after 30 seconds the system will go back to the previous screen." HIT THE X Button now. This should have it fixed. For step 7, the first one is HDMI, hit down 1 it's component/D-terminal which is the GREEN/BLUE/RED, if you hit down 2x its the component/s-video, and if you hit down 3x it's AV MULTI/SCART. Good luck. Please give me a good rating if I helped fix your problem Respectfully, Don

Blue screen, no video, but has sound

Did you hit the "input" or "video source" button by mistake on the remote or TV? That would change the input from the one the cable/video source uses. You're getting sound, so it's working......sounds as if the input was maybe changed. I'd hit the input/video source button a few times to go through all the available inputs and see if you get video back.

Sony Handycam CCD-TRV87 Hi-8...

I am having the same problem. When I hit Rewind or Fast Foward, i can see the image moving clearly.
When I hit play though, I just get a BLUE screen with the Play arrow displayed. So it's playing, I just got a blue screen. And last night, I got the blue screen but I could hear the audio.
Then I put a head cleaning tape in the camera, and I did get the picture back on for a little bit.
Skip to this morning, and we are back to the Blue screen again. Only this time, I am getting no audio. And I the head cleaning tape back in but it's not helping anymore.

Try going into player's menu, and set video out or TV type to NTSC.
It might have switched to PAL, or disc is PAL and player is set to any.
