Sorry muffin I think it might need service. You're saying you can't get into the menu on the unit? Oh BTW scroll down and use the "Add a comment" link to keep this all on one thread. It's much easier that way.

Hi NISSAN PRIMERA P12 2002 D SVE 18 MARCH 2024

Hello, Malcolm. It seems like you are facing an issue with the alarm system of your Nissan Primera P12 from 2002. Based on the symptoms you've described, it does sound like there might be a fault with the alarm system or the central locking mechanism.
Given that you have already tried a few troubleshooting steps such as disconnecting the battery and replacing the micro switches, it might be a good idea to further investigate the alarm system itself. Since the hazard lights are flashing without any audible alarm sound and the central locking is behaving inconsistently, there could be a fault in the alarm control unit or wiring.
One possible cause could be a faulty alarm module or a loose connection in the wiring harness related to the alarm system. It's also worth checking the condition of the alarm siren to ensure it is functioning properly.
Considering that the issue seems to have improved after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, it's possible that there is an intermittent fault related to the power supply or a reset of the alarm system.
If the problem persists, it might be best to consult with a professional mechanic or an auto electrician who can perform a more in-depth diagnostic test on the alarm system to pinpoint the exact cause of the issue.
In the meantime, if you experience the hazard lights flashing again, try to document when and under what circumstances it occurs. This information can be helpful in diagnosing the problem more accurately.
I hope this information helps, and I wish you the best of luck in resolving the issue with your Nissan Primera P12. Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance or have any more questions.

Antitheft system keep goes on so i can't start my vehicle

It is telling me to lock the doors with the key, this will arm the system, then you should be able to unlock the doors after about 3 seconds and this should disarm the system. Also, if it doesn''t try unlocking the passenger side door or the back glass with the key. Let me know you must wait at least 3 seconds before unlocking back glass or passenger door to disarm system once one door is unlocked without setting off alarm it is disabled. hope this helps

Alarm goes off with ignition on. Dash lights work so there is power but nothing at the starter motor

Sounds like the security system is armed. It is designed to disable the starter. If you don't have a key fob for the alarm, try locking and un-locking the driver's door with the key to disarm. If that doesn't work, look for a very small black button or toggle switch that will either be taped to wiring under the driver's side or the dash, or mounted to the very bottom of the dash above the driver's legs.

Everytime I lock the car using the key fob, about 30 seconds later the alarm sounds but the lights do not flash and the horn does not sound. Only when I unlock the car will it go off. I have disconnected...

you may have a bad door switch, theres a switch on the drivers door lock, when door is unlocked with fob or key the switch is activeated to shut alarm down, the lock moves to hit switch with key or fob,so if the switch is bad it will not shut down alarm, i would start there, door panel has to be remove, then latch has to be remove to get to switch, then test with a meter see if it opens and closes the connection, hope this helps.

Press remote transmitter “UNLOCK” button once OR turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position and press programming button for one second (see below).
The vehicle interior (courtesy) light and door open warning light (DOOR AJAR indicator) will then illuminate for 60 seconds when the ignition is turned off, or until the doors are locked with the remote transmitter. Yes, the dashboard instrument panel lights will flash when the parking lights flash.
Programming or Overriding the Alarm when you have lost the remote

Press and *hold programming button* in (see diagram, button under dashboard)
After 15 seconds the the door locks will cycle 3 times. Do not release Programming button
Press lock (left) button the remotes to be programmed. The door locks will cycle one time.

If you can't find it, it might still be tucked up in the wiring harness higher up in that same general area. The botton is recessed in a plastic ring (see diagram).
This button must be pressed while programming remotes or if the battery was disconnected and the lights are flashing.

How do I Unlock Ipod screen if I forgot the 4 digit password?

Well, to make a long story short, I finally unlocked my ipod after perilous hours of invalid guesses. What did I do? I have a habit of making obvious passwords-I simply goofed this time. I used the last four digits of my mother's cellphone number! Yes, yes, silly me silly me. However, I was quite relieved when I finally unlocked it. Thanks! =)
