When you hold the Iphone in your hand with the round button with the square inside it on the bottom of the phone. turn the right side of the phone down to the floor while you do this look for 3 buttons on the side of the phone the TOP button must be pushed upwards at all times this flip switch is your MUTE switch pushed down it is in must mode switched up is sound mode.
Below this is 2 buttons the button just under the top flip switch is volume up the other one is volume down there ya go.

1 .You need to confirm if its the volume or the mic of your phone that has the problem.
