· Fully charge the Sony digital Handycam. If the camera is
not powering on or shutting down during the middle of a shoot, it is due to the
battery. If the battery is unable to hold a charge (this occurs after a few
years of use) you must replace the lithium-ion batter.

Press the "Menu" button if no audio is recording
on the video camera. Choose the "Record" feature, then select
"Audio." Oftentimes the audio comes (or is accidentally turned) off. Select
the "On" option and exit out of the menu. Now all future recordings
capture audio in addition to video.

Delete unwanted video files if your hard drive is full. When
the internal hard drive is full you receive an error message stating the
camcorder is unable to capture more footage. Bring up the "View"
option on the camera, then select a video file you no longer want and choose
"Delete."

Turn off the video camera and remove the battery. Wait a
few minutes before inserting the battery back into the camera. If the menu or
any other internal hardware on the computer is malfunctioning performing this
reset corrects the problem.

Upload the video content from your camera to a computer
via FireWire cable instead of USB. When using USB the quality is downgraded as
it is unable to support the higher data stream required to upload videos. If
you don't have a FireWire port on the computer (it is similar in size to a USB
connection, but one size is curved and a "Y" icon is printed next to
it) you will have to use the USB connection.
You must have service manual copy in hand for safe disassemble of lens mechanism of camcorder, please contact nearest Panasonic service center for service manual copy.
Instead of using the camera suite... download your video from your camcorder directly to your PC in a folder (video's). there you will see each individual file (scene) that you took that day instead of one large scene. Then you can download/edit whatever scene you want into movie maker or just copy a sene right to a dvd
