Question about Sylvania DVC-800C DVD Player / VCR Combo
Neither dvd nor vhs work. the system turns on, but after a few seconds a green blinking "cst in" light starts blinking and everything shuts down. The dvd player will say "on", then "loading", then shut down just like the vhs. Any help would be appreciated. I've unplugged it over night, unplugged and replugged all the cables...EVERYTHING but the ONE thing that Iam not seeing. The green "CST IN" light remains flashing, even when the system shuts down. Once again, Thanks.

I had the same problem. Aren't three-year-olds great? Mine had jammed several clothing tags into the VCR slot. Clearing them out didn't solve the problem, but I then took the outer case off (with power disconnected of course) and verified that there was no physical damage to the tape heads and that everything internally was clear. I put the case back on, and everything's back to normal.
