1 Answer

Dsc-P73 When I try to turn on my camera, the power on light appears bfor about a second and the startup sound starts, then the camera switches off. The batteries are new and there seems to be nothing else wrong with the camera. I have tried reseting but to no avail.

Still it sounds like weak batteries. Be sure to use either rechargeable batteries ( charge for a minimum of 14 hours ) or alkaline. DO NOT USE "heavy duty" carbon-zinc cells - they're only good for low power equipment.

sounds like your hard drive has come unplugged, you will have to remove the battery and possibly the "L" shaped metal strip then you can push the hard drive back in

Warning lights stay on

It sounds like the ignition switch is signaling to the dash (in error) upon startup. It may be the switch itself.

This may sound like a stupid question, but did you make sure your rechargeable battery pack is installed??? if they are in there I would try removing and check connections to make sure they are clean and no dirt and then try reseating the battery pack again. if no battery try installing AA batteries, my model U2120 takes those also if you are new to this camera, there is a little dial at bottom of camcorder to unlock the front cover, turn to unlock and the front of the camera slides off to show the battery compartment. maybe the rechargeable battery pack is shot and won't charge so try the regular batteries whatever kind yours takes. good luck!

It sounds like a low power startup. Are you sure the batteries that you are installing are good? If they're Dollar Store "Super Heavy Duty" batteries, that's likely your problem (shelf life has been exceeded).
Recommend trying to start the camera with premium alkaline, or best yet, rechargeable batteries (they have the most power, and save you money too!). If the above doesn't work, recommend contacting Canon, especially if your camera is less than a year old. The camera in that case would be eligible for warranty repair.

Will not power up

There are several reason why digital camera doesn't stay ON even when the batteries are fully charge or use brand new batteries. You can try to do the following steps to make sure that there is something wrong on the camera and not just batteries.

- Remove the batteries from the camera and the memory card
- Make sure that your using a brand new batteries
- Clean the battery contacts with a clean dry cloth
- verify that the batteries are inserted correctly
- Set the camera in Auto then turn it on
[Listen if there is a grinding sound on the lens part of the camera.]

Most Digital Camera turn itself Off when the lens won't zoom. So, if your camera start up and lens moves before it turns off and you can switch it on a different mode and it works. You need to contact your camera manufacturer and have the camera sent for repair. It might be wiring issue on the lens part of the digital camera

GE Profile PDW7880G00SS Dishwasher will not Start

Re: My dishwasher start light flashes and the timer display is blank.

That is a fault condition, if the display is blank it is probably a faulty control board.

Unplug the appliace from main, or trip circuit braker to cut power for ten minutes.

If display is still blank on startup, then replace the timer control assembly.

Aspire one black screen but mouse appear

Hi Giannluca,

when you turn it on, does it show startup information? E.g. BIOS screen on start-up, windows loading etc? If not, try this:

Hold down the power button for about 10 seconds when its turned on. This should power of your laptop completely, then try turning it on again and let me know what it does.

sounds like a capacitor issue with the boards secondary supply side to me, recommend you dis assymble and check capacitors with low esr meter to determine which way to start trouble shooting power delivery issue. Obviously your getting power to the plug but have you LOAD tested the power supply? Try another one to see?
