HELLO FROM CYPRUS- PLEASE HELP ME TO CLEAR PAPER JAM---X7170
GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY FROM CYPRUS.
IAM USING AN X7170(NOT ANYMORE) LEXNMARK AND LAST TIME WHEN I TRY TO PRINT A CAR,IT TOOK A PAPER AND START TO PRINT BUT THE PAPER WASN'T STRAIGHT.
SO I TRY TO TAKE THE PAPER OUT WHICH I DID WITH A LITTLE BIT FORCE.THE WHOLE PAPER WAS OUT WITHOUT TEAR IT.
FROM THAT TIME WHEN I WAS TRYING TO PRINT THE
PRINTER WAS WORKING BUT , IT WAS MAKING THE NOISE AND THE MOVEMENTS BUT THE PAPERS WHERE BLANK.
I CHANGE THE INK CATDRIDGES WITH NEW BUT THE SAME RESULTS.
AND I COULD SEE THAT THERE WAS INK INSIDE THE ROLLER.
ANYWAY , THE BAD THING IS THAT ,I WAS THINKING IS JUST A SMALL DETAIL OR A PIECE OF PAPER INSIDE
AND I TRY TO FIX IT BY OPENING WHICH I CAN SAY IT WAS LITTLE DIFFICULT.(IAM NOT A SPECIALIST)
I DESMALLED THE MACHINE AND I PUT BACK TOGETHER AGAIN WITHOUT FIX SOMETHING ACTUALLY.
AND NOW THE MESSAGE CLEAR PAPER JAM IS ALLWAYS ON THE SCREEN.
AND THE PROBLEM IS THAT I TOOK IT TO A SPECIALIST AND WHEN I TOLD HIM THE TROUTH HE TOLD ME HE CAN NOT FIX IT.(BECAUSE I OPEN IT FIRST)
.........PLEASE HELP ME.................

I have the same all-in-one printer and have just recently, the unit is a few years old, started having the same problem. I found that that if I make double sure the pages are evenly stacked and very carefully placed in the feeder tray, the problem is less common. It doesn't work everytime but ar least I get my faxes through on the first attempt 75% of the time.
Check the paper path and see if a small piece of paper is lodged somewhere along the track. Blow it out with a can of Dust Off. Or use a paper clip to dislodge any paper found in the paper path.
Hello there
i know you have cleared the jam but i would go back and really look closley at the paper path and the internals a small piece off of a paper can cause this to claim it has a jam also if you turn off the printer and use canned air to blow out the whole insides this will help too also clean offf any lenses with a eyeglass cleaner ok ?
best regards mike
It insists there is a Cartridge problem on the Printer............ In this Case take out the Paper from the Paper Feed Tray........ Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer.......... Remove both the Cartridges from the Printer.......... Now take a size 10 Envelope fold it so that it should become like a thin long strip........ Now Insert that Envelope on the left side corner of the Printer and move it from right to left and left to right as fast as u can for about 10 times.......... Now Insert the Ordinary Papers onto the Printer and insert both the catridges and Move the Catridge Carrier which holds the Catridge Back and Forth for abt 20 Times as fast as u can.............
Turn On the Printer........
