Since the set is a Plasma, the set does not use a lamp. You have an extended service policy, then you should use it. However, make sure it doesn't power on at the set. If it is a remote issue, the warranty company may not pay for that repair.

You should go to the audio menu and make sure your not in the SAP(Second Audio Program) mode. also check around at the other features in that audio menu. If still does not work, there is a 3 year warranty on this model. Call up where you bought it and find out who to call for service. Good Luck

Hello Iam wondering have you tried to see under the TV setting Audio and see if the fuctions are muted or try to unplugged the tv and wait for a few minutes plug it back in.
Also when th tv is turn back on or unplugged and plugged back in see if the power button light flashes red And listen to the speakers to see if there is a faint crackling
Tries unplug the tv and the cable box about an hour, replug both back in.The cable box, will upgraded it software and the tv will reset itself back to factory setting.Every things should work now. Not,than the tv Tuner board,it dead, that board, that take in the incommimg broscasting signal cable to the tv.
Problem solved. I tried playing DVD and the TV picture was fine. So I double-checked cable wires from cable box - one of the wires was loose (obviously it was the red color input). After tightening, the TV picture is good as new.
Try pressing input on your remote and make sure the source is selected to what you have it plagged in. For example cable box plugged into hdmi1 set input to hdmi 1. Also can you access tv setup at all? If not your tv might be bad to begin with.
Thank you, we get nothing but a black screen. We do have an extended warranty and I just set up a service appt. Thanks for you help.
