As of late I have been having issues with what I believe is my AC adapter. I would loose my power connection randomly. I'd slightly wiggle the cord and it would start working again. Over time it seemed to get more and more touchy and I'd have to be very carefull about moving the pc with the AC on. Then just resently after leaving the pc to charge I came back to see that it was not charging or on AC power. The battery died and I can not get in back on. However when I do push and hold the start up button the orange light (the one that looks light a lightning bolt) blinks 3 times and thats it. So it there something wrong with the end of the cord on the AC adaptor? Battery problem? or something else internaly? Thanks for any imput!
If you know how to weld you have to open your laptop find your ac jack and weld it. I had the same problem with my sister's laptop and i alredy fix it. Try to not bend your cable too much.
Good luck
It's more than likely a problem at the notebook motherboard, where you push in the adapter, this is common as the soldered contacts can break. You would be best refering to a repairer.
You need a cable retention device like the jerkstopper mentioned in this video. . . Keeps the cable from jerking on the fragile power pin.
