There is a diverter inside the faucet that works with water pressure possibly has some debris or calcium build up.turn off water supply and take out cartridge. you should see the diverter

SOURCE: Leaky faucet

Finding brand specific replacement parts in stock for a 20+ yo faucet without a Mod.# is quite the task, implying that you would have to do a side by side compareson/inspection. If in fact that part is not obsolete.
Maybe you should consider replacing the entire faucet.
Good luck

When I press the button on the spray handle, water flows through both spigot and spray. Moen model 7310.

You have a piece of sediment lodged in the spray head which can be removed by dissasembling the head... could also be a bad rubber seal in the head which might require replacement.

New moen kitchen single handle. Worked for one full day. Now no water pressure.

Unthread end of faucet (aerator) where the water comes out into sink, under the aerator is a screen & a plastic valve. It has sediment & rust which will disrupt the flow & pressure.Careful not to flush it down the drain. Tip upside down, while holding it together with finger. Flush it under the faucet. It is not uncommon to get plugged up initialy because of the new installation.

Single handle Spray faucet leaks at it's base, leaking under the kitchen sink

If you still have the receipts from the purchase call Moen directly as they warranty their faucets for life and will send you the replacement parts you need. If you need to purchase replacement parts then you can purchase a Moen single lever repair kit from your local hardware store which should run you around $10. Go the the Moen website and look for your model. They generally have an exploded view of every one of their models that will assist you in dissassembling the tap without any surprises. Reassemble the tap with the new o-rings etc installed and test.

if you did, you need to take it out and turn it 180 degree (not head to toe). the water control is on reverse.
