Transferring photo from computer to memory stick

Cyber-shot dsc-w50
I transferred pictures from the camera to my computer, Now I want to
transfer some back to the memory stick duo pro (512mb) in the camera.

I got one of those electronic picture frames that shows slideshows in the picture frame and takes the memory stick. I thought it would be easy to transfer the photos back to the memory stick in the camera and then use it in the picture frame. I opened windows explorer and used copy and paste to move the photos to the memory stick after connecting the camera as usual and it showed the transfer in explorer but when I use the camera to view it says the file is empty so the pictures are not transferring to the memory stick

Many cameras will not let you write to the card. Try using a card reader, which will make the memory card appear to the computer as a separate hard drive.

NO PROBLEM. RIGHT NOW YOUR DSC-W50 IS COMPATIBLE WITH MAC OS9.1 AND MAC OS 9.2.
YOU NEED TO POINT TO SONY-eSUPPORT DSC-W50-SOFTWAREUPDATES AND DRIVERS.

THIS SHOULD SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. IF NOT, REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217 AND I WILL DO SOME MORE CHECKING ON THIS SITE. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK! JUST A QUESTION- AREN'T THESE TWO OF THE OLDER MAC OS SYSTEMS? I THOUGHT THEY WERE USING LEOPARD AND 10.0? THEY WERE THE ONLY ONES LISTED SO FAR.

Great explaination.

I tried this reset, but the error came back. Read in other posts that it is a "flash capacitor" problem.

When “FLASH error” (Self-diagnosis Code E : 91 : ** ) occurs, to prevent any abnormal situation caused by high voltage, setting of the
flash is changed automatically to disabling charge and flash setting.
After fixing, this setting needs to be deactivated. Flash error code can be initialized by the operations on the Setup screen.
Method for Initializing the Flash Error Code
Initializes the setting to the default setting.
1 Select [OK] with v on the control button, then press z.
The message “Initialize all settings Ready?” appears.
2 Select [OK] with v, then press z.
The settings are reset to the default setting.
• Make sure that the power is not disconnected during resetting.

Hi!
It's a flash error. Could be flash fuse or flash board. If you have a multimeter and you're ready to open it, contact me at [email protected] or contact your local Sony service center.
I work in a Sony service center.

Not Able to Transfer Photos

To get things clear for me, some questions. Do you use a Memory Stick Duo? As you know you can't use a Memory stick in your camera.
Can you see any picture you shot, on the display of the camera?
Did you protect the pictures in the memory and then did a format?
Because format will not look to any software protection, you really lost all pictures.

If so, there are some programmes, that could possibly restore your pictures, if you did nothing more than formatting the memory card.

How can I download pictures from my Internal Memory from my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W100 to my computer?

Two options: If you normally transfer your pictures by connecting your camera to your computer, remove the memory stick from the camera before making the connection.

Alternatively, if you use a card reader to transfer the pictures directly from the memory stick, use the "Copy" command in the "Memory Stick Tool" submenu to copy the pictures from the internal memory to the memory stick. The Memory Stick Tool and the Copy command are described in the "Memory Stick Tool" section of the manual (beginning on page 53 in my copy). If you need a manual, you may download a copy from here.

When viewing pictures on camera and File Error shows up across the screen

Hi,
Format memory stick in camera, format option is available in setup menu of camera.
Note: all files will be deleted on memory stick after format so make sure you have transferred picture files in computer or have back up.
If problem still not solved then put another memory stick in camera as this memory stick seems defective.
Thanks.

I have transfered some pictures from my memory stick but i have a problem with transferring pictures from the internal memory to my memory stick.

Please clarify: from where to where did you transfer and you wish to transfer? Are you using a USB cable from the camera to the computer? Do you mean the memory card that fits inside the camera?

If you mean transfer photos from the camera via the computer to a memory stick, then the problem may be solved in two steps: First download the photos to your computer. Then from the computer to the stick.

No memory space in memory stick

Transfer the images from the memory stick to your computer, make sure the transfer has been successful so you don't lose your pictures, then to be safe put the stick back into the camera and delete them once back in the camera. AGAIN, before you delete anything, make sure your pictures have been safely transferred to your pc and you can view them all. Deleting the photos from the stick will make the disc empty again and ready for more shots to be taken.

Have a new sony dsc-w120 cyber shot camera. first digital camera and have no clue. also have memory stick duo. can i transfer pictures directly from the camera to my mac computer using usb...

OK,
Camera has small inbuilt memory that can store few pictures. You can copy these photos in memory stick by inserting memory stick in camera, go to Menu >> Copy >> Yes.
Memory stick stores many photos depends on its size and let memory stick in camera, hook it with computer and transfer photos from memory card.
Thanks.

Sony cyber-shot DSC-W35

you might just want to buy a memory stick adaptor for your memory stick and insert it in the pc memory stick duo slot.. its alot faster to transfer pictures like that anyway.. I wouldnt worry about connecting the camera to the pc, all it does it is consume battery power and transferring pictures takes a litttle bit longer.  But if you do connect with usb, make sure its hooked on properly and you have plenty of battery power.
