Freezer works, fan works, fridge side not getting cold
I have a GE GSS25JEMC side-by-side. This morning we opened the fridge to notice that everything was much warmer than normal. The freezer side is working fine, the fan comes on fine, too. There didn't seem to be anything blocking the vent from the freezer to the fridge. What are some other possibilities?
p.s. I don't have a manual for it and can't seem to find one online.
Thanks for any help.

Whip, make sure the condensor fan is running in back. It should be running anytime the compressor is running. Check to see if you have a buildup of frost on the back of the freezer panel, this could indicate a defrost issue. This refer is controlled by one main mother board in back. Check these things first and post back. You may have to do some tests on the board...Catriver..post back.

Most likely, if you can hear the compressor running, the fan inside the freezer is not working. When the compressor is running, open the freezer and listen for the fan running. If you don't hear it, locate it and, with a voltmeter, test for voltage across the terminals. If you have voltage present, replace the fan. You can buy replacement fans at a local appliance parts store, internet parts suppliers, even ebay.
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer
through a vent between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air
through it.There is a flap you adjust
with the fridge temp control.Make sure the fan is running when the compressor runs.Make sure the vent(damper) opens and closes as you adjust the fridge temp control.
THE FREEZER FAN BLOWS COLD AIR TO THE FRIDGE SIDE, TO ACCESS THIS FAN YOU NEED TO EMPTY THE FREEZER SIDE AND REMOVE THE REAR PANEL SOMETIMES A WHIRL OF IT WILL GET IT SPINNING AGAIN BUT YOU MAY AS WELL CHANGE IT
You have 2 fans Make sure your top fan is working ,its located inside the freezers back wall. If it is working the vent from the freezer down to the refrigerator may be blocked. With out a fan you have no circulation .Also if you can move everything out unplug it turn it off w/ doors open 12 to 24 hrs this will free up any clogged tubes. Good luck. Len West
