SOURCE: it shows IBM P6 2001 is that the number if so

That is only telling you the maker, the CPU type and the year.
It is likely to be a NetVista - go to the IBM website and have a look on there.

SOURCE: what is the minimum power supply for mobo:ibm usa P6 2001?

it depends on what peripherals and processor you're using. If you're using an under 100 watt processor, a 250 should work fine if you're only running one HD, one DVD-RW, and a very modest video card.

The fancier your processor is in it's revision line, the more wattage it draws, the more hard disks, cd-rws, pci cards etc you use.

You also may want to consider uptime requirements, and usage percentage. if you're running constant loads, power supplies don't like that, and the capacitors can get burnt up. Servers, video processing, etc will tend to require more than rated supplies just because 100% use of even close to rated wattage (and you will be very close) will tend to cause the maximum design heat to be produces, possibly blowing out capacitors etc in the power supply, causing downtime.

The brand name of the power supply matters too... if you're using a no-name chinese brand, i would be leery about their "rating", as it's probably peak for only a short time rating...

No processor bios update

Sounds like you need to flash the BIOS (UPDATE the BIOS).

Do you know how to do this? The way I do it is by setting up a USB key as a boot device and have the FLASH utility on there....

HERE IS A LINK
which contains files to create the FLASH utility either on:

FLOPPY
CD (via ISO IMAGE)

... as well as some guides on what to do and other helpful stuff.

Its worth noting that if you have made any changes to BIOS, they will be restored to the 'factory' settings when you FLASH in the updated BIOS.

This should work, let me know if it doesn't.
