We put the empty disc,we follow the instructions and we cant record.maybe the lazer has problem

What is the settings for playback?

There are no specific settings for playback on this machine?
If the lazer does not read discs and the display shows NO DISC or UNKNOWN DISC then the lazer pick-up needs replacing.
I believe that the lazer pick-up for this LG recorder has been discontinued?

I have a philips wireless music center wacs700 when i put disc s in even a lens cleaner disc it comes up cant read disc can you tell me what the problem is

lens cleaner not alway working.use air to blow unit out,,lots of dust inside of units...try to clean lazer with earbud very softly untill it shines,90% its works if not u need to replace lazer and hope its not the mpeg board...im a technician

Hi, I have the sony rdr-gx7 dvd recorder and we've followed the instructions to set it up. It gets power to the tv and the vcr works while it's hooked up but when we insert a dvd it shows up as a disc...

Does not read...discs..(.games..movies..music..)

So it is the open tray problem then??... You will have to open your xbox and follow the instructions below on youtube, the problem is mechanical, your lazer is stuck in the far back position away from the cd so it cant read or recognize that there is a disc in the drive but it is an easy fix....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycuvX7x1HJk&feature=watch_response

This could a dirty lazer bulb try cleaning with a damp shammy leather allow to dry for a few min's . if this does not clear fauly lazer unit will need replacing

My player when loading dvd loads for couple of secs and cuts off

Does the disc spin?
If not you have my problem spindle motor suspected faulty if the disc spins then its not being read, faulty lazer assy Try cleaning the lazer using dry brush disc philips do a good one and also clean the disc you are trying to play if it still doesnt work its a fault
