I have a problem, i can't transter music from my PC to the mp3 player, it shows me an error msg about the setting of the bit rate and "Transfers are not allowed." !!
please help me in solveing this problem ...
Having same issue. i wanted to use it for a USB key and i formated it using a utility. then i reformated with windows once i had issues. and now getting the formet error. when trying to play music that i add to it. not working at all anymore. we need help here. thx sony..
I formatted my NW-E003F using window explorer by mistake.
Now it does not playback mp3songs although I can load songs in the required format(atrac). If I put it on, the screen shows the display " FORMAT ERROR'

(assuming your PC is Windows) connect it to your PC . open 'My Computer'. when the new icon showing the mp3 player appears, right click on it and go to 'Properties'. Then switch to the 'Tools' tab on the top of the dialogue box that appears. Then use the 'Check Now' option. it will scan and fix any errors. hope it helped
I have sony walkman NW-E003F it cant not play music file... It comes up file error... I think I may have deleted something when I was deleting music... Thanks
I hade just that prob. "format error" used to display. I did this:
1. dwl sonicStage (free)
2.- in the walkman went to menu/initialize/format
then displayed a confirmation screen, I confirmed
it displayed "formating...... COMPLETE"
3.- THEN plugged into the PC and transfered songs with Sonic
and it worked!
