Gateway no longer offers the drivers. If you have a Restore Partition on the hard drive, try pressing Alt+F10 and follow the prompts. If you have any important files (pictures, documents, etc,) be sure to back them up as a Factory Restore will delete them.

Here is how to restore any Acer or Gateway machine to factory settings:

When you power the netbook on, as soon as you see the Acer logo, hold the Alt key down and start tapping the F10 key repeatedly (takes about 10 seconds to trigger the restore process. It may take a few tries to get the timing right but I promise you this is the way.

The hard drive on your netbook has a hidden restore partition which contains the necessary files to do the factory restore. It is possible that this partition was erased when Ubuntu was installed. If you can't get the Alt+F10 to work, then you will have to contact Acer to get a recovery USB drive.

Many users have problems with web cams. Press the designated button to turn on your camera. If you are using an external camera, use a compatible USB cable to connect the camera to the USB port of your computer.

Visit a website that allows you to test your webcam online.
Next try this.
Click the "Allow" button from the flash player settings window. You should now see live video footage from your web camera. If you don't see live video, your web camera is not working properly.
To reinstall the drivers try this. Right click on My Computer-> Properties -> Device manager -> Imaging Devices -? Webcam. Right click on the webcam and uninstall it. This will cause the computer to reinstall the drivers and software. Restart the computer and hopefully your problem will be fixed.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for Manuals and read thru them looking for Factory Settings or System Recovery.

ASUS KAV60 works on a 19V 3.42A adapter. And pay attention to the dc connector, it's 5.5mm*2.5mm.

you are either going to have to make a bootable installation on a USB memory stick or get an external usb CD drive or a network install down the wire. There is no easy way.
