I have a black and white picture on my system and can't get color. This happened to me once before and I pushed a button on the DVD remote and fixed it, but can't seem to fix it this time.

you can't shoot in black and white but you can take a picture and change it to black and white.after taking your picture use the color edit option at playback.arrow right or left to choose the picture then press the ok button.use the right and left arows again to select desired color and press the ok button again.this will save a seperate image copy of you original only in black and white.
Make sure both S-video (black round connector) and Composite video (yellow connector) are connected to video outputs not inputs. It can also be the S-video is disconected, that will give you a black and white picture.

If you hold the VFP button while a movie is on, you will get a small box on the corner that shows your color. My default color also turned black and white. I just moved over to a user1 color setting (push the right arrow on your remote), and it allows to the change the colors. You might be able to put the colors to come out through here. Hope this helps.
