Lines on printout of pictures

Here's some thoughts that may or may not help you. =)

You could double check the Print quality and make sure it's at the highest. If the printer head is removable, you could take it out and clean any build up gunk on there. Sometimes it build up around the edges of the printer head.
If it's an old printer it may just need a new printer head. But they are not really worth replacing since they cost as much as a new printer. Not much else you can do other than have the printer self clean itself.

itcould be the coagulation of ink in between the cartridge better dip it in mildhot water for some times and replace it wiping the water . it would do thetrick and solve your problem . it has been practically tested.

Printer will not print clear or lines missing. Went through with nossle check and head cleaning but still do not print clear.

OK, you're going to have new ink jet cartridges to start with. I know they are expensive, but missing lines is a telltale sign of depleted ink. One may only be able to get 100 printed pages on avg. out of ink jet cartridges for consumer models.

Try original equipment manufacturer cartridge, in this case Epson cartridges to ensure quality output, and trouble free operation.

Make sure you align cartridges to get clear printouts that are calibrated properly.

Good luck on this repair.

My printer prints pictures fine but when i print words it dont print black ink just colors why

Black printer ink in Canon Printer may fail to be recognized by the printer. Most times an error message will be sent indicating that something is wrong with the black print cartridge. Sometimes the printer may accept to print with the black ink, but the printouts may have horizontal lines and very illegible letters. In such a case a manual cleaning of the print head should be carried out. In doing the manual cleaning, one should spray Windex heavily on paper towel and wipe off the surface of the print head.

Cartridge problem

Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Printing won't work.

Good day sir/maam, hi, when you test print it usually prints letters and no lines are printed. try first if the printer is setup to economy/draft or pictures, if lines are faded, the ink cartridges maybe dirty. manual cleaning is needed, the ink path starts from the ink cartridge to the cradle or carrier then to paper. so any dried ink that blocks the path can affect the printout. you can use warm water to loosen dried ink. remove the cartridges and cradle from the printer as you clean them.

Brand new printer and quality of print is poor - lines running through the colour picture

If this is a laser printer this means the drum is scratched and it is creating a line in printouts.

If it is an ink jet printer this usually means you need to run the cleaning utility or do a cartridge alignment utility

Black lines printing through words on printer.

Have you tried printing a Nozzle Check using only the printer - this eliminates problems caused by the computer. Have a look at the online guide at:

http://support.epson-europe.com/onlineguides/en/sc60/index.htm

Choose Maintenance - Checking the Print Head Nozzles - Using the Control Panel Buttons, and follow the instructions to produce a nozzle check printout.

Does this produce your lines? If not - the problem lies with your computer. If it does, you need to have your printer checked out by a technician since it appears you have some sort of ink leak from your print head..
