Contact the nearest authorised service center for Samsung at your town. Spare parts to this set will be very difficult to get from open electronic spare markets.

SOURCE: tv won't switch to "tv"

Your T.V. is programmed to store the last input you've selected. You have to manually switch it back to your T.V. channel input after each time you switch it to HDMI or any other input even when you turn it off. The "Source" or "Input" button on your original T.V. remote will change this.

Unplug the tv for about a hour and then plug it back in while holding the power button, This will cause it to do a hard reset and either work or product a code via flashing lights, if neither of those have a result it may be the fuse or the power control unit.

Ideas on parts to replace?

Here's the test. With the TV on shine a flashlight on the screen. If you can see a dim picture the backlight circuits are bad. If you cannot see a picture the T-Con board is bad. You can get parts from here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy

My Samsung1080p 52" TV just died while watching a show. Can not get it to turn back on and it's not making any noises. No lights are on anywhere on the set. Any ideas?

Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and precious time.

The Vizio TV won't turn on all of a sudden

Are you trying with the remote and the power button on the tv? The batteries might be dead in your remote if you haven't tried the power button on the TV.

LCD LE26R7 won't turn on after switching off

This is almost certainly a bad main board and it will almost certainly need to be replaced, not serviced.

I'd google for "LE26R7 main board" - check on eBay as well - but frankly if all you have to do is re-plug the TV in order to watch it I'd probably recommend sticking with that.

I predict there won't be a quick fix to this problem other than replacing the main board.

Don't kill the messenger :-)

I have a 42" Samsung

This clacking and clicking noise could have been coming from a capacitor going bad in the tv. If this is the case where the tv will not turn back on, I would suggest calling samsung to try to get a replacement or get the tv serviced. Trying to replace bad capacitors can be a tedious job and requires knowledge of soldering small components. This may also void your warranty if you still have coverage.

Mitsubishi ws-55807 wont stay on. the green light comes on then tv turns off in 1-2 seconds. the green light is the only response, the picture does not get powered on. was working perfectly before this...

There's a good chance you have failing electrolytic capacitors most likely in the power section.
Any caps in this or other sections that look bulged at the top, or bulged/leaking at the bottom need to be replaced.
If you repeatedly turn it off and on, eventually it'll probably turn on, but every time you turn it off, the TV will get harder and harder to start up until one day it just won't.

If you aren't tech savvy, don't worry, read the rest of this solution and watch the videos.

If you are handy with a soldering iron and can identify the power supply and inverter / FM section for the backlights, an inexpensive handful of capacitors will likely fix you right up.
Match the capacitance on the capacitors. Go over voltage if you can, and still have them fit.
IE - it's not a bad idea to replace a 10V cap with a 16V or 25V or even a 50V, but don't replace a 680uF cap with a 500uF or a 1000uF (unless you are positive it's only doing ripple filtering, and even then, you should go OVER, not under the uF rating).

Most of the caps that go are 10V 1000uF or 3300uF.

I found some great videos of the procedure (for many Samsungs with the same issue) on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7b_nTaZYcU&feature=related

As you can see, this issue spans plasma TVs, as well as large and small LCD and projection TVs and monitors.
The parts are cheap, and skill required is minimal.
