Contact your phone service provider to setup caller ID and ask them if they do the TV service as well
the service provider has to enable caller ID before any plug in box will display the number there is a charge for the service depending on the package you have
Find "Caller ID"
Press the phone icon.
Press the menu icon.
Press Call settings.
Press Additional call settings.
After a moment the current settings are displayed.
Press Caller ID. Turn your own caller identification on or off
Press Hide number or Show number. Return to the home screen
Press the home icon to return to the home screen.
There are several reasons that this could happen:
1. Your telephone company stopped the service, even though you are paying for it... Ask your telephone company to verify your Caller ID service is current.
2. There may be a problem with your Caller ID service. Ask your telephone company to check to see if there are any problems.
3. Sometimes the caller ID is delayed, try letting incoming calls ring at least twice before answering.
The "charge" light staying on is very unusual, It could mean that the battery is failing, but if it is working properly, don't worry about it.
well you might not have purchased the caller id and it also might be the company that you are going through so try asking them and if that does not work you may simply call the 1866 or 1800 number on your owners manual
Is the phone FCC approved for use in the US? Does the model purchased in Singapore use the same Caller ID algorithm as US phones? Have you tested a known good caller ID capable phone at your location to make absolutely sure the caller ID is actually turned on?
If you have digital telephone with cable. First thing you should do is contact the billing department of your service provider. Make sure you are in billing for caller id. If you are let them know you are not receiving service you are paying for. Have them check your number in the switch. Which is the system that allocates each call that is made to and from your number. If this feature is not activated properly in the switch you might be paying for a service that is not properly activated. If all is correct with service provider. Try using another phone that has the caller id feature just to make sure it's not the actual phone. If both phones still doesn't display caller id. You should have your service provider send out a technician to troubleshoot your home telephone lines to make sure all phone jacks and telephone lines are secure and corrosion free, and have them verify service while there. You should also ask about a credit for the time the service was activated until the time the service actually worked.
This means the person who is calling you is hiding his number from caller IDs. There is no problem with your caller ID. if you try and call your phone from a mobile phone and you type #31# and then your phone's number you will see that the number of your mobile will not be displayed. (#31# service must be provided by your mobile company)
