Question about RCA Scenium D40W20 40" Rear Projection HDTV
When watching the tv, it randomly goes snowy and have to turn it off and back on to get the picture back and the sound. Some times it does it right after you turn it on, and then times it will go all day and no problems, then it other day it did it 3 times in 30 minutes. I will be watching it and then it will kinda pop and the screen goes snowy, and the sound goes, and I have to turn it off and back on to get the picture and sound back. Please help, I can't seem to find no one to tell me what the problem is, it is like it loses the signal, I got cable tv. Thanks
Dittos to the previous poster this ctc chassis has integral tuners on the pcb which i have never attempted to repair altho have many of the older ones this board is expensive to replace if you have a cable box use the composite video ouputs or use a vcr for tuner use the tv in the video mode as a monitor and call it a day the rca boxes have pictures of dogs on them

Connect up another set right next to that set thats going out to make sure the cable or that line is not bad. It soukds as though you may have an intermittant tuner assembly inside the TV set. Its also a possablity that there could be a bad solder connectiuon in or around the tuner assembley. Not really a job for the user, as this set has hot and cold chassis, and can give a mean shock if you do not have the know how to work on these monsters. good Luck PS Please do not forget to rate this thread.
