if this is a inground try only the main drain if it works something is in the skimmer line

Have you looked at the vanes in the impeller? if they are significantly clogged nothing will pump or flow.

The model of pump doesn't really matter,You backwash the filter by changing the position of the backwash valve (while the pump is off). If you have a D.E. filter, be sure to add fresh D.E. powder to the filter when you are back in "filter" position.

you either have a problem with a suction side air leak, a bad start capacitor, or bad bearings.

Start with trying to prime it by adding water to the hair/lint pot. If it doesn't move any water and it acts like the motor is not turning, it's most likely a start capacitor. The pump would have been making alot of noise before the bearing would have been bad enough to seize.

Humming sound could be jammed pump.Remove th filter and check pump Blades are free, nothing is stuck in it....

backwash the filter from main drain until sight glass is clear-this will reduce filter pressure. After backwashing return gate valve to filter position, then filter from main drain only. check water chemistry. add a clarifier to water

make sure all vents are clean check to see if there is anything stuck in impeller with pump off take straner basket out look at opening going back to filter is water filling the strainer basket

Is pump moving water at a normal rate and pressure? If so, then you are in need of a bearing replacement. There is no specific lifetime for bearings or shaft seals, however two years would be at the lower end of scale. Have front and rear bearings replaced along with shaft seal.

Have you had the water pump replaced yet? Could possibly be the water pump making noise because it's about to go.
