Question about Black & Decker FP1510 Food Processor

1 Answer

Needed: Black and Decker Power Pro II Model FP1550 Disc Stem, 10-cup container with food chute/cover. Does anyone have these two items?

The disc stem holds the slice/shred disc in place within the processor container. The unit I have is in great condition electronically, however it has been used and moved quite a bit and now needs some TLC. Thanks to anyone who can help:)

I overlooked this too. Set into the foam packing material is a stem made just for the shredding disk. It's about 4" long and also has a hex shaft. This hex is just slightly smaller than the hex on the other shaft the drives the blades. The dough hook - Remove the blade assembly and put the dough hook in its place.

Slide the button down on the white stem. Place the blade on the stem, and turn the blade a few degrees and the button should click into place.

My disc stem is stuck and will not come out.

Without careful use and care, there is a possibility that the disc stem can become fused with the motor shaft. If excess pressure is being applied to the slicing or shredding disc, this can cause immense friction and cause the plastic disc stem to "weld" onto the motor base itself.

I would suggest calling Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what options are available.

Their toll-free number is: 1-800-541-6390.

When you remove the regular chopper blade, it should fit on top of the stem. The chopper blade must be removed to use the slicer / shredder attachments.
